Turmeric, oil, tea, ink and food stains each need a different treatment, and the wrong one can set a stain for good. Cleanzit analyses each stain before cleaning and pre-treats it by type. Spotting (stain treatment) and colour enhancement are also available as additional services.
We're honest about results: fresh stains usually come out, but old or heat-set stains sometimes can't be fully removed. If we think a stain won't come out, or treating it carries a risk to the fabric, we tell you before we start.

Stain first aid before you call us
- Act fast — the fresher the stain, the better the chance of removing it.
- Blot, don't rub: rubbing spreads a stain and pushes it into the fibres.
- Rinse food and tea stains from the back of the fabric with cold water; hot water can set them.
- For oil, sprinkle talc or cornflour to soak it up, then brush it off.
- Don't iron over a stain — heat sets it.

Can you remove turmeric (haldi) stains?
Fresh turmeric stains usually respond well to treatment. Old ones are harder, so send the garment as soon as you can and tell us what caused the stain.
Is stain removal charged separately?
Spotting is one of our additional services — ask us when you book and we'll confirm.
Will every stain come out?
Not always. Old or heat-set stains sometimes can't be fully removed. We assess each stain first and tell you before treating it.
